Marlene D. Haeffner, age 84 of Burr, NE passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 in Yuma, AZ. She was born on March 10, 1939 to Joy D. and Gladys (Oldenburg) Sporhase near Weeping Water, NE. Marlene was united in marriage to Billy R. Haeffner on November 6, 1959.

She is survived by her husband Billy Haeffner, son Dean & Brenda Haeffner of Glen Ellyn, IL and daughter Kim & Kurt Wellsandt of Talmage, NE; grandchildren: Mason (Amanda) Wellsandt of Nebraska City, NE, Tessa (Caleb) Pelster of Clearwater, NE, Henry Haeffner of Chula Vista, CA, Clara Haeffner of Washington, D.C., step-grandchildren: Katharine Goleash of Chicago, IL and Jackson Goleash of Chicago, IL; great-grandchildren: Haiden Wellsandt, Vivian Wellsandt, Layna Pelster and Josslyn Pelster; sister: Janet Werth of Fort Wayne, IN, brother: Gary Sporhase of Englewood, Florida, sistersin- law: Helen Haeffner of Lincoln, Joyce (Neal) Bentzinger of Cook, Judy (Gary) Smith of Lincoln, brother-in-law: Jack (Eleanor) Haeffner of Lincoln; other relatives and friends.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, and sister: Eileen Moss, and brothers- in-law: Delmer Moss, Gerald Werth, Robert Haeffner, and nephew: Michael Haeffner.
