Martha Beth Harring, one of three children of Marv and Pauline (Schultz) Harring, was born August 1, 1965, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Martha grew up and attended school in Lincoln, graduating from Lincoln High in 1985.

Ruth Louise Peters Hurst

Ruth Louise Peters Hurst, given life by her Creator, was born on January 5, 1919, the child of Clara Rosa Buethe and Gustav Robert Peters. She was baptized, confirmed and married in her home church, St. Peter’s Lutheran, in Elk Creek, Nebraska. https:// stpeterselkcreek.weebly.com. Her first 24 years in this country church environment provided a solid foundation for the faith that carried her through many trials and joys in life.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Galen Orville Grotrian on Saturday, September 12 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cook park. In case of inclement weather, the service will be moved to the Cook Community Building.

David G. Bailey

David Gene Bailey, 73, of Tecumseh, passed away unexpectedly August 19, 2020 in Tecumseh, Nebraska. He was born to Wilburn “Tex” and Reta (Parrish) Bailey on December 8, 1946 in Tecumseh, Nebraska. Dave attended Vesta and Spring Creek rural schools and graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1965.

John C. Bernadt

John C. Bernadt, 76, transitioned from this world on August 13, 2020. Born November 20, 1943 to Carl and Luella Bernadt in Pawnee City, he grew up in rural southeast Nebraska. John was married for 54 years to his devoted wife, Clara L. Bernadt. He retired from the BNSF in 1999 after 34 years of working in Lincoln, Minnesota, Wyoming, and Kansas.

Patricia Ann (Britt) Lee

Patricia Ann (Britt) Lee was born March 4, 1937, the sixth child and only daughter of Lewis Walter and Margaret Mae (Gyhra) Britt. She passed away August 20, 2020 in Pawnee City, Nebraska.

Garret William Littlejohn

Garret William Littlejohn, son of William Garret Littlejohn and Leona Loretta Buethe, was born on Aug. 22, 1943 in Watertown, New York. His family moved to Tecumseh, Nebraska, at a young age where he grew up with his brother Leonard. He lived the typical “small town life” and enjoyed the occasional company at the pool hall.

Ervin F. Gobber

Ervin F. Gobber, the youngest of four children of Fred and Christena (Knippelmeyer) Gobber, was born May 16, 1930 on the family farm near Elk Creek. He was baptized and confirmed at St. James Lutheran (Long Branch) Church. Ervin walked across the road to the “Rock School House” (District 45) for his education to 8th grade. Ervin furthered his education through personal experiences, and continual reading in his areas of interest.
