Unauthorized Library Bank Account Investigated

On October 19, 2022, the City of Tecumseh became aware of a “petty cash fund” bank account held at the local American National Bank that was being used by the library without oversight from the city, according to information in a letter sent to Tecumseh Mayor Jesse Grof by Deputy Auditor Craig Kubicek, CPA, CFE, from the office of the Nebraska Auditor of Public Accounts (APA).
