Friday, March 1 was the last day for Scotty’s Grocery and Catering business to be open in the Elk Creek community. Scotty Gottula opened Scotty’s Grocery in 1987 to fulfill a need in Elk Creek for a place where people could come and buy the essentials, such as bread, milk and other food supplies, in addition to providing fresh cuts of meat from the deli.
