PSC Football Booster Club Golf Tourney

There was drama at the annual Peru State Football Booster Club Golf Tournament held Friday, July 31, at the Auburn Country Club. A new winner was crowned in a dramatic fashion as the four-year reigning champions, Cat Scratch Fever, were tied with Team Rasmussen with a 57 after the 18 holes.

Four Top Bullriders Receive the Cash Awards in Tecumseh

A total $3,145.50 in cash was awarded at the 2020 Extreme Bullriding Tour held at the Johnson County Fairgrounds on Saturday night, August 8. Wayne Miller of Albin, Iowa scored an 86 for the top cash award of $1,572.75. Dakota Nye of Wahoo, Nebraska scored a 64.5 for a cash reward of $943.65. Dalton Krantz of Somers, Iowa scored an 83 for 629.10 in cash.

Volleyball Athletes Attend PSC Camp

Aspiring volleyball players from around the region were in the Al Wheeler Activity Center on Peru State’s campus during the last week of July. The future spikers, setters, and liberos participated in a number of different skill camps under the direction of Bobcat head coach Laurie Felderman.

Rautenbach & Roberts on State AA Division 11U Championship Team

The Beatrice Bullets 11U baseball team was crowned the Nebraska State AA Division Champions for the 2020 season. AJ Rautenbach, son of Andre and Dana Rautenbach and grandson of Wilbur and Beverly Ramsey of Tecumseh, played third base and pitched for the Bullets 11U squad. Evan Roberts, son of Rick Roberts and Tecumseh native, Karey (Anderson) Roberts, catches, pitches and plays centerfield for the Bullets. He is the grandson of Carolyn (Anderson) Saroni and the late Larry Anderson, also previously of Tecumseh.
