Sterling Jets Outplayed by Lewiston Boys in Subdistricts

The Sterling Jets boys basketball team traveled to Parkview Christian to compete in the Class D2-1 susbdistrict tournament on Tuesday, February 19. The Jets faced Lewiston in the opening round and disappointed with a 45-33 loss to the Tigers.

Free farm and ranch clinics will be held in Fairbury on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. These clinics are for farmers, ranchers, and their families. They are confidential, oneon- one sessions with an experienced Ag Law attorney and Ag finance counselor. In roughly an hour, you are welcome to bring up whatever issues might be affecting your operation. In general, clinic discussions often involve estate and succession planning, financial and operational issues, beginning farmer programs, real estate and lease matters, fence law, property rights, farm loans and loan programs and debtor/creditor law. Here is an opportunity to obtain an experienced outside opinion on issues that may be affecting your farm or ranch.

Seniors night was even more emotional for the JCC Lady Thunderbirds on February 6 as they were disappointed with a 63-54 loss to the Elmwood-Murdock Lady Knights. Both teams got off to a great start with their scoring performance in the first half.

The Johnson County Central Lady Thunderbirds traveled to Freeman to face the Lady Falcons in the opening round of the East Central Nebraska Conference basketball tournament on January 30. The JCC girls were disappointed with a 38-28 loss to the Lady Falcons.

Johnson County Central’s boys basketball squad beat Wymore Southern 56-40 in the opening round of the Class C2-1 subdistrict tournament played at Freeman on Monday night, February 19. Key scorers for the Thunderbirds were Wyatt Ludemann, Wes Swanson, Alex Cruz, Nolan Wellensiek and Keegan Jones.
