Patricia Ann Matthews Thimgan

Patricia Ann Matthews Thimgan, of Cook Nebraska, was born on April 17th, 1942, to Bernie and Fran Matthews. Patricia (Patty) passed on December 30th in Lincoln. She was raised in Omaha, and attended Benson High School, Methodist School of Nursing, and later obtained an advanced degree from Belleview College. She worked her entire career in nursing, finally retiring from Midlands Community Hospital in Papillion.

Patty loved living on the farm with her husband of 44 years, Lee Roy Thimgan. She enjoyed, and was very skilled at, sewing and quilting. She also loved her family, and especially enjoyed giving gifts and being with family each Christmas season. Patty’s family and friends will always remember her as a very kind and caring person.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Bernie and Fran Matthews, and her brother, Richard Matthews. She is survived by her husband, Lee Roy Thimgan, and her son, Jeff Thimgan, daughter in-law Janel, and granddaughters Natalie and Claire.

Public graveside services with viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 5th at 2:00 P.M. at the Cook Cemetery, Cook, NE.

Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
