Charles Wilford Wagner was born to John J. and Lois Mae (Morris) Wagner on December 1, 1934 in Pawnee City, Nebraska. He grew up and worked on the family farm near Dawson, Nebraska. Chuck attended Honey Creek Rural School.

He was united in marriage on August 18, 1956 to Charlotte Shoemaker in Auburn, Nebraska. To this union two sons were born Randall and Craig.

Chuck worked for many years for the Campbell’s Soup Company in Tecumseh until retiring due to health issues. He also worked at the Tecumseh Action Center. Chuck loved taking drives on country roads, watching and attending Husker football games and westerns on tv. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Chuck passed away Monday, October 12, 2020 at the age of 85 years.

He is survived by his wife Charlotte, son, Randy, four grandchildren, Amber, Jonathan, Jessica and Aaron, seven great-grandchildren, sister Mary Marmet and nieces and nephews.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, son, Craig and brothers John Wagner and Ron Wagner.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt, Nebraska with Pastor Kirk Langer officiating.

Pallbearers are Jonathan Wagner, Aaron Wagner, Dominik Wagner, Anthony Wagner, Paul Goering, Jack Goering, Bill Goering and Shane Clymer.

Honorary pallbearers are Randy Wagner, Raytin Wagner and Loren Wetzel.

Special music will include “How Great Thou Art”, “Amazing Grace” and “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.”

Memorials may go to the family’s choice.

Interment will be in the Humboldt Cemetery, Humboldt, Nebraska. Services are entrusted to Wherry Mortuary, Tecumseh, Nebraska.
