Carolyn Kay (Price) Anderson Saroni, 75 of Beatrice (formerly Tecumseh) passed away peacefully on Nov 7, 2020 at her home. Carolyn was born on June 19, 1945 in Chicago IL to William and Loretta (Giraldi) Price.

Carolyn attended Pawnee City High School and married her high school sweet-heart Larry Dean Anderson in 1967. Welcomed to this marriage were son, Kipling and daughter, Karey.

Having received her degree at Peru State College (where she was also a Cheerleader), Carolyn went on to teach at Auburn Public Schools for over 20 Years. After retiring she substituted at surrounding area schools in Tecumseh, Beatrice, Cook and Syracuse for many years. She was a member of the Nebraska Education Association and the Nebraska State Education Association. Larry and Carolyn enjoyed almost 20 years

Larry and Carolyn enjoyed almost 20 years of marriage while hosting card parties at their home, playing golf, and going to the Lake of the Ozarks until his passing in 1986. She continued living in the Tecumseh area where she was an EMT for Johnson County, a member of the Bridge Club, Eastern Star, Pawnee City American Legion Auxiliary, and the Tecumseh Golf League where she was the club champ many years. She also was a founding member of the Tecumseh Young Women’s Association.

In 1995 Carolyn married Louis Saroni and they made their home in Tecumseh. They enjoyed travel to Mexico and Michigan and anywhere the weather was warm. Louis passed away in 2003 and Carolyn remained in Tecumseh close to friends until moving to Beatrice in 2016.

Carolyn enjoyed spending time and traveling with friends to many locations including Mexico, New Mexico, Florida, Hawaii, and Arizona. One of Carolyn’s greatest pleasures was seeing Celine Dion live in concert in Las Vegas and Omaha. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. They remember Carolyn playing Dancing Queens by ABBA while they danced and sang, making hot cocoa, and ensuring they had new pajamas for every Christmas morning.

Carolyn enjoyed cooking, shopping, golfing, reading, playing cards, bunco, decorating, hosting and gambling at the casino. She had a mischievous sense of humor and was never afraid to express her thoughts, including the occasional use of foul language. You could always expect an abundance of food when visiting her home.

Left to forever cherish her memory are, her son, Kipling Anderson and wife Naomi of Loveland, Co.; daughter, Karey Anderson Roberts and husband Rick of Beatrice; grandchildren, Brea, Haley, Ava, Lauren, Evan, and Megan; great-grandsons, Brody and Milo; sister, Janis and husband Mick; brother, Billy and wife Cletia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Larry; second husband, Louis; and sister, Barbara.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 21, 2020, at the Harman-Wright Mortuary Chapel in Beatrice. In lieu of flowers a memorial is established to the family’s choice with Harman-Wright Mortuary in charge. The public will be required to wear masks.
