JCC Lady T-birds are athletic with quickness this season

Article Image Alt Text

Last Season’s Record: 6-18 Coach Miller’s outlook: “Our strengths this year are that we are athletic with quickness. Our weakness is probably our lack of height and experience. Marissa Borrenpohl, Brittany Neukirch, Mackenzie Eltiste, Maddie Moran and Angelica Wellman return as letterwinners for us and all will need to play well. Our goals this season are to be competitive, improve throughout the season and play as a team. Our toughest competition will be Freeman, Auburn and all the teams in the ECNC.”

JCC boys have great senior leadership for 2015-16 season

Article Image Alt Text

Last Season’s Record: 18-7 Coach Faris' season outlook: “I feel that our overall athleticism is high. We should be able to use that defensively to pressure opponents into turnovers that will lead to easy baskets. We have a senior-heavy team. Seniors bring a sense of urgency and a level of maturity to the team. I have no doubt we will play hard. We will need to play together and make good decisions in order to reach our goals. Our returning letterwinners are Mitch Faris, a three-year returning starter and was 1st team All-Conference last year.

TECUMSEH - This year’s Tecumseh 5th/6th Youth Football Team easily held up its place in the long tradition for having a winning season . The Team went 4-1 this season. This team had an amazing season, especially if you consider the make up of their team. For the first time, we invited Sterling boys to play on the Tecumseh Team. The Sterling boys had never played organized football before.

Tecumseh Youth football 2nd, 3rd, 4th graders complete 2015 season

TECUMSEH - The uncertainty of having enough players to field a team held fast until the first day of practice on August 19th when fourteen players from the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade team showed up. Three of them were returning 4th graders in their 3rd year, and the 3rd graders brought back four return players. The seven that came out for the first time in pads were also uncertain that day, but all of this gave way to the summer heat and the work put in each day. By the time they turned in their pads on October 21st, they were a hardened, battle tested group of young men.
