Johnson County Central Girls BB

Head Coach

Karen Hunzeker

Assistant Coach

Garrett Collin

2017-18 Record: 3-18

Coach Hunzeker’s season outlook: “Our strengths this season are that we have some speed on our team and we have four returning starters and eight returning letterwinners. Our attendance in the weight room and gym this summer was also a lot better as we had 3 girls who had perfect attendance. Our weaknesses are that we only have 14 girls out this year so we don’t have a lot of depth and this is only my second year of coaching so still learning my way of doing things.

Traditional Thanksgiving Feast

.Turkey is a Thanksgiving staple. It’s also one of the most difficult items to cook for a large gathering. To prevent foodborne illness and to make the best turkey possible, play close attention to preparation, cooking, and storing.

You should allow one pound of turkey for each adult guest at your dinner. This allows everyone to enjoy a generous serving of turkey and guarantees enough extra turkey for additional meals.

Most people cannot tell the difference between fresh and frozen turkeys. The main thing to remember when purchasing a turkey is that a fresh turkey needs to be refrigerated until time to cook. Likewise, a frozen turkey needs to be kept in the freezer until it is time to thaw for roasting.
