Lois L. Lacey

Lois L. Lacey was born to William and Bertha (Heidzig) Norvell on August 8, 1930 in Auburn, Nebraska. Lois was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Auburn. She attended rural Nemaha County elementary and
Auburn High School. Lois was united in marriage to Willard “Bill” Lacey on February 21, 1948 at the Johnson County Courthouse in Tecumseh. To this union three children were born. Willard passed away February 27,1989.
Lois was a fulltime housewife and mother. In 1973, she began her employment with the Tecumseh Care Center, later known as Belle Terrace where she was a Certified Nursing Assistant and later was promoted to  Restorative Care Nurse in the Physical Therapy Department. She retired from her career in 2003. She enjoyed working with all the residents at the nursing home and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Janice A. Ehmen, 76, of Sterling died at the Johnson County Hospital on Sunday, January 26, 2014. She was born on May 11, 1937 on the farm near Sterling. She attended country school and Sterling High School where she  graduated in 1954. She then attended Peru State Teachers College where she received her teaching certificate and taught at Hauck Country School District #65 northwest of Sterling for three years. She married William J. Ehmen on April 1, 1956 at St. John Lutheran Church of Sterling. She worked from 1978 until 1993 at GTE Directories in Lincoln and was also the manager and bookkeeper for Ehmen Trucking and Harvesting. She was a

Dorine M. Keever

Dorine M. Keever, 85, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, the 24th of December 2013 following an extended illness. A native of Vesta, Nebraska,  Dorine was a daughter of the lateJohn G. and Anna Harms Laug. She was first married to the late Frederick Duensing and then to the late Bob Keever. She was, also, predeceased by her son, Steven (Lynn) of Waipahu, HI. Dorine retired from Mervyns Department Store (Target) in 2004 and moved to Aiken in September of that year from Ft. Worth, TX. She was very proud of her Presidential (George W. Bush) Award for volunteer service of almost 1,500 hours at the Aiken Habitat for Humanity Restore. She was a member of

One of fifteen children of Fred and Caroline (Ulrich) Bausch, Areva attended rural school through the eighth grade and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1938. Areva was united in marriage to Bernard Hoffman on December 25, 1944 in the Salem United Church of Christ in Steinauer, Nebraska. They made their home
