TECUMSEH–The City of Tecumseh will be hosting a public information/open house meeting on Tecumseh’s Downtown Revitalization project to upgrade the city’s utilities infrastructure, streets and sidewalks around its historic business square.

This meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 17 at 5 p.m. Since the Tecumseh Community Building is currently being renovated and is not fully ADA compliant, this meeting will be held in the elementary auditorium at Johnson County Central Schools.

According to Shayne Huxoll, project engineer with Olsson Associates in Lincoln, this informational meeting is a requirement of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process due to the Limited English Proficiency (LEP) within the City of Tecumseh. At this time, construction is still scheduled for 2021.
