Gerdes becomes Eagle Scout, scouting’s highest award

Thomas Gerdes of Talmage was awarded an Eagle Scout Award, the highest award in scouting, during a ceremony held at the Zion Lutheran Church in Talmage on March 16. As his Eagle Scout project, Gerdes gave something back to his community of Talmage by replacing 18 stop signs and posts, painting the entrance posts in front of the Talmage Fire and Rescue building red for easier visibility and painting the curbing along the three intersections of main street
